I can imagine writing critical articles about a Head of State with many followers, a battalion of armed soldiers and the police, only to be told by a mere gospel artist not to do my job.
Magawugawu is trying very hard to convince his followers that he is hated, when asked why, he says he has many followers and or Facebook likes.
So the former Member of Parliament(MP) thinks we can fight a dangerous oppressor King Mswati, all these years, only to be intimidated by a performer whose only weapon is having followers who insult you on social media, nothing else?
Yes,I am saying nothing else, because if Magawugawu is enjoying a huge following, he would have long defeated the Tinkhundla system that he intends to rejoin now.
It should be noted that any thought of joining the Tinkhundla system is a silent demonstration of defeat by a politician who claim to enjoy a huge following, any influential figure who enjoys the following that Magawugawu claims to enjoy, can stop the undemocratic elections.
Magawugawu survives by waiting for other leaders to fight or come-up with ideas like national shutdowns, only to speak in the ‘last hour’ so that in the eyes of the people, it can appear as if he owned any successful protest.
Even now, when asked why he intends ‘surrendering’ to the Tinkhundla system by urging others to participate in Mswati’s undemocratic elections, he says those who don’t want him to support the elections must convince him with a clear political strategy on how to stop the elections.
The Solidarity Forces, Political Parties Assembly(PPA),the MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF) and all pro-democracy groups must never submit to Magawugawu by presenting the strategy of stopping the elections.
Coalition groups must never listen to a gospel artist who refuses to abide by collective decisions.
I am asking myself why Magawugawu thinks he can control us with social media insults, what if we develop immunity to those insults?
How can a leader of a political party openly tell journalists to leave him alone, does he even understand the role of journalists?
Magawugawu and his allies can prepare galons and galons of insults but, no political leader will speak without being held accountable for his statements or actions.
If Magawugawu is not happy with the Swaziland News, he must report us to the Press Council of South Africa where this online publication is affiliated, he can also approach the courts, King Mswati did the same .
Otherwise, he must rest assured that anytime, this publication will publish critical articles about him and his organization.
In conclusion, it is important to remind Magawugawu that unlike the journalists who are still struggling to be recognized, I don’t need any endorsement from him, I am a media Consultant for international media organizations.
It’s surprising that Magawugawu thinks after the huge work that we did, collaborating with international organizations in transforming this country, he think he can come here and bully us with insults.
When I started my journalism career and fighting for democracy, Magawugawu was performing in royal events, he started calling for Tinkhundla reforms not democracy, in 2021.
Magawugawu loves King Mswati’s Tinkhundla system that’s why he wants to go back,he is only bitter that the regime ignored him for a Cabinet post yet he felt too popular not to make it to Hospital Hill.
As long as I am the editor here, no political leader will tell the media to leave him/her alone.
Politics is a game of power, how can you aspire to rule our country that we are suffering to liberate and then tell us to leave you alone?
Maybe, we can leave you alone Mr Magawugawu if you can leave politics and go back to sell CDs and perform on stage, this is politics not a Crossover.
Furthermore, Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane must know that we are not back-up singers of Izinceku Zamagawugawu to listen to whatever he says without questioning him.
As you read this, Magawugawu is enjoying a R50,000.00 salary with his wife, he campaigned by claiming LaZwide will change Tinkhundla system of Governance from within.
But,the only thing MP LaZwide is doing now is sending money to Magawugawu so that he can survive.
The duty of the media among others,is to question, write articles about public figures to ensure accountability of public power.
That Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane is hated because of having ‘many’ Facebook “LIKES” he enjoys, is a mere political comedy.
Journalists will continue to hold him accountable as long as he involves himself in political matters that might affect our welfare in the future.

Former MP Magawugawu Simelane.
