MBABANE: Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini and Swazi businesspeople who are his close friends have announced a donation of ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00)to Mbabane Market Women Vendors who were affected by the recent national shutdown.
The editor said the money must buy stock only for the women whose stock was affected during the two-day national shutdown.
“This money is a collective contribution from me and some businesspeople who are my close friends.Personally, I contributed R5000.00 and I called two businesspeople, one Headteacher and asked them to at least make it ten thousand R10,000.00 and they agreed.We will send Informal Traders Coordinator Mathokoza Sikhondze to deliver the donation and facilitate the purchasing of the stock to be shared by the women vendors.This money must benefit strictly, the women who sell vegetables,”said the editor.
