NTONTOZI: Army Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo was almost killed by members of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) after releasing an alleged false statement denying the shooting of an MTN employee Kayise Qwabe by soldiers.
It has been disclosed that after this Swaziland News published the story where Khumalo was denying the shooting, saying there were “unknown people in army uniform shooting civilians”,members of the Solidarity Forces were passing by the Army Spokesperson’s home at Ntontozi.
Upon seeing the article, members of the underground forces called the Commander for an order to kill Khumalo, however, the Commander allegedly told the forces not to touch her.
Reached for comments, the Commander confirmed stopping the forces from killing Khumalo.
“I told them not to touch Tengetile, actually the forces were on their way to monitor a high profile target. When they saw the story that she was denying the shooting of the MTN employee by soldiers, they became angry and they wanted to finish her because they saw that story while passing by her home at Ntontozi on that night. I told them not to touch her because I felt she was a small fish. Touching her on that day would have diverted our focus from the main target,” said the Commander.
