KWALUSENI: Senator Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade toured a R19million project owned by Linac Enterprises, eSwatini Government online platforms reported on Thursday.
The project, which will also comprise a Quick Shop and a Shisanyama and will employ about one hundred (100)emaSwati.
It is owned by Linac Enterprises, the company that also has a franchise licence for OK Foods.
“This is one of the projects in the Post COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan. This is very exciting for us a Government because it shows that despite COVID-19 setbacks, the country’s economy is on the recovery path. This is one of many projects that are underway and aimed at bringing development in rural areas. We do note, however, as Government the way some emaSwati attack authentic emaSwati businesses. They spread a lot of lies aimed at sabotaging these businesses. We would like to condemn this act in the strongest possible terms because it clearly stems from a place of jealousy. Some emaSwati are not happy when fellow emaSwati progress,” said the Commerce Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.
