MBOMBELA: Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) says Government is victimizing him for representing teachers.
Addressing delegates on Saturday at Mbombela, South Africa during the ongoing annual Summer School of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS), Dlamini highlighted the issue of union bashing which he said was rife in eSwatini.
King Mswati’s Government allegedly stopped Dlamini’s salary, he was accused of absenteeism.
“Comrades,I have been unpaid for three months now,October,November and December for doing union work. The Government is carrying out this inhumane measure to victimise me for standing up for the rights of workers, and to also instil fear in other teachers, hoping that they will be deterred from standing up for their rights,” said the SNAT President.
