PUBLIC TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION SECRETARY GENERAL STICKS NKAMBULE: I am in a safe place.

MBABANE: Sticks Nkambule,the Secretary General of the Swaziland Transport,Communications and Allied Workers Union(SWATCAWU) says he is in a safe place.

Nkambule, a resident of Luve confirmed witnessing four State cars with armed police officers driving towards his home on Wednesday afternoon.

“I can confirm that I am fine and in a safe place, will give you an interview later” said the Public Transport Workers Union boss when speaking to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.

Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Nkambule was seen on Thursday among the delegates at the Summer School organized by the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) in Mpumalanga.

Mswati’s government has intensified a crackdown against pro-democracy activists and human rights defenders in eSwatini.
