CRIME PREVENTION POLICE OFFICER: I saw political activist Muzi Mmema few hours before abduction.

MBABANE: Zipho Dlamini, a police officer working under the Crime Prevention Department has confessed to this Swaziland News Investigation Unit that he saw political activist Muzi Mmema a few hours before his abduction and subsequent killing.

Dlamini was contacted by this investigative journalist to confirm or deny allegations suggesting that he was monitoring the Swazis First Democratic Front(SFDF)Deputy Secretary General (DSG) at Ntontozi Sports Ground on Tuesday(27th December 2022).

“It’s true that I saw Mmema at Ntontozi Sports Ground and the car that allegedly kidnapped him was parked. Mmema was sitting and watching soccer, a few meters from where I was sitting. But let me clarify that I am a resident of Ntontozi and I was there to officiate the football matches and watch my soccer team playing.Thereafter, I went straight to my house,” said the police officer.
