MBABANE:Wandile Dludlu,the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) says the most vocal Parliament in the country was that of Sandlane Zwane and Mfomfo Nkambule that stopped the purchasing of a private jet for King Mswati.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, the PUDEMO Secretary General said despite the efforts by that Parliament to vigorously oppose the purchasing of the jet, Mswati eventually purchased it years later.
“That’s why we are saying those who want to go to Parliament must tell us what they seek to achieve by going there. In fact, the most vocal Parliament we had in the country was that of Sandlane Zwane and Mfomfo Nkambule between 2003-2008, they stopped the purchasing of the King’s jet. Even then, we supported them by lobbying the international community,wathulisa-ke Mswati wema kutsenga lendiza but eventually,wagcina ayitsengile. As we speak,Mswati owns two private jets,” said the PUDEMO Secretary General.
