SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini accuses police of killing innocent civilians,claim they were on their wanted list.

MANZINI: Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) has urged the police to publish a list of wanted criminals and refrain from killing innocent civilians.

Speaking in a live public address on the SNAT online platforms on Thursday, the Teachers Union President said police had a tendency of shooting and killing people and later claim they were on their wanted list.

“In these shootings, a young child subsequently became a victim. If he were an adult, the police would have claimed he was on the wanted list.The police should publish the list of wanted persons so we can also assist in apprehending them in order to avoid the unnecessary loss of life,” said the SNAT President.

Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report. 

King Mswati’s police have been shooting and killing crime suspects and political activists with impunity and later claim they were on the wanted list.
