STUDENTS UNION DEPUTY PRESIDENT: We support calls for the permanent employment of teachers.

MBABANE:Philile Mavuso, the Deputy President of the Swaziland National Union of Students(SNUS) says as students, they fully support calls for the permanent employment of teachers.

Speaking during a petition delivery by the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT)in Mbabane on Friday, the Students Union Deputy President said they would support the teachers until Government succumbed to their demands.

“Teachers must be hired in all schools because there are not enough, some are hungry and its even worse for those who are working in rural areas. As SNUS we will not stop supporting teachers and we are willing to assist in every way possible until the Government does things  the right way," she said.

Teachers under the banner of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) on Friday petitioned the Ministry of Education,

demanding the permanent employment of teachers, early release of Free Primary Education (FPE) grants among others issues .
