MBABANE: Sticks Nkambule, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Transport, Communication and Allied Workers Union(SWATCAWU)who is wanted by the police on alleged politically motivated contempt of court charges says he will continue with his duties.
The unionist urged those who fabricated the charges to continue playing with their ‘friends’ while he continued with his duties.
“Sichubeka nemsebenti,labakwentako batakwenta nebangani babo(meaning: I will continue with my duties, let those who are doing this continue doing it with their friends,”said the Public Transport Union Secretary General.
The unionist who led a historic national shutdown is wanted by the police on alleged contempt of court charges.
This comes after Mswati’s courts issued an order stopping the national shutdown, the order was defied by public transport workers and members of the public who stayed at home.
