Taiwan Ambassador: COVID-19 doctors’ arrival to strengthen ties eSwatini

MBABANE: His Excellency Jeremy Liang, the Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan said the arrival of doctors who will assisting in the fight against COVID-19 will strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Speaking during the arrival of the doctors, the Ambassador said this signifies the perfect relationship between the two countries.

“The arrival of the doctors signifies the perfect relationship between our two countriesand we are willing to share with our best friendbeing the Kingdom of Eswatini. We believe we will make a difference.”

Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini who welcomed the doctors and a consignment of medical supplies that will help in the fight against COVID-19 said Taiwan has always been there for the people of eSwatini 

 “Taiwan has always beenthere for Eswatiniandthis consignmentthatalso includes PPEs will assist, it is mostlyneeded by our health workers. This will go a long way in strengthening the capabilities of our health sectorand we are proud to count on Taiwan as a reliable friend for the past 52 years”said the PM
