EZULWINI: Lincoln Motsa, the Director of Linac Enterprises trading as OK Foods has apologised to customers who have been sold rotten stew at their outlet in Ezulwini.

This comes after hundreds of emaSwati  took to social media to complain about the rotten stew that was being sold at the OK Foods in Ezulwini.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, the Director said they were currently working on the matter.

“We have received such complaints from our Facebook page and we responded to them individually. Our cooked food is stored in warmers and due to the high temperatures we are currently experiencing these days, it normally gets spoilt quickly than usual. We are currently working on fixing this issue. We are engaging the affected customers and they are getting refunds, we are looking forward not to experience such in the near future”he said.

Efforts to reach the Ezulwini Town Board for comments proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report .

A businessman who spoke to this publication and was one of the affected customers blamed the authorities for such an unfortunate occurrence.

"I did go to the Management but they didn't take the necessary procedure,it is not the first time this is happening to me in that same outlet, I think for me its not even about the outlet but about the authorities. This is because we have got the Municipalities and health inspection. There are people who are in charge and getting paid through our taxes and not doing their jobs. This is about the authorities pulling their socks up before the business does the same. This is an  outlet which is selling food to thousands of people  everyday,  these people can get sick and they do not have money to go to hospital and worse getting chronic conditions, this is unfair to everybody", said the businessman who preferred to remain anonymous.
