MBABANE: Sipho Nelson Tsabedze,the Principal Secretary(PS)in the Ministry of Public Service allegedly used fraudulent means,to change his date of birth and other personal documents to avoid retirement,an independent investigation reveals.

Documentary evidence in our possession suggests that the PS was actually born on 01 January 1963, and was supposed to retire this year on 01 January 2023.

But on or around 06 December 2021 at around 1342hours,PS Sipho Nelson Tsabedze allegedly abused his powers and manipulated the Ministry of Home Affairs with an intention of fraudulently changing his particulars.

Fraud is a misrepresentation of facts and or criminal deception for personal or financial gain.

Reached for comments,the Principal Secretary denied that he fraudulently changed his particulars to avoid retirement.

“I am not aware of what you are asking me about,”said the Principal Secretary.

But Tsabedze’s personal documents that include passports suggest that he was born on 01 January 1963, however, he is still working after changing his date of birth to 27 November 1967.

Tsabedze allegedly changed and or reduced his age from sixty(60) down to fifty-six(56) years.

Speaking to this Swaziland News,Oscar Nkambule, the President of the National Public Service and Allied Workers Union(NAPSAWU) said it came as surprise to them that a PS who frustrated civil servants could forge personal documents to avoid retirement.

“He must just retire”, said the NAPSAWU President.
