MBABANE:The Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) has temporarily closed its head office situated in Mbabane after identifying two suspected cases of COVID-19.
In an official statement confirmed to this Swaziland News by Zithulele Gina, the Head of Strategy and Communication, the bank said the concerned individuals have been taken for testing while precautionary measures were being taken to ensure that the Mbabane Head Office remain safe.
The Central Bank is one of the few institutions in the country that has so far demonstrated transparency and openness when dealing with internal COVID-19 issues and further assisting the Nation with Personal Protective Clothing (PPEs) to fight the virus.
“The concerned individuals have since been taken for testing and hopefully, their results will be available soon. The bank has taken further precautionary measures to ensure that the Mbabane Head Office premises remain safe. A decision has been taken to temporarily close access to Mbabane Head Office for two days, Wednesday 6thand Thursday 7th. During this period, the premises will be fumigated and deep-cleaned and will be open for business on Friday 8thMay 2020
