JOHANNESBURG:Tanele Maseko, the wife to assassinated human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko has pleaded for focus and unity within the Mass Democratic Movement(MDM).
Speaking during the memorial service of her assassinated husband here at Johannesburg on Saturday, Maseko said the Tinkhundla regime knew who Thulani was and subsequently killed him while comrades were fighting each other.
"I didn't want to come here because I know that all of you here never loved my husband,as I see the insults here today, some of the organisations here were formed because they didn't want Thulani.I want to plead with you all to stop the bickering.Tinkhundla knew Thulani more than you did, while comrades were still fighting each other, Tinkhundla remained focused. This is just my small plea for focus and a road map,”she said.
Human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko was allegedly assassinated by King Mswati's mercenaries at his home in Bhunya two weeks ago.
