LOZITHA: Thabo David Khasipe, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) met King Mswati on Thursday, Government online platforms have reported.
“The Executive Secretary has paid courtesy calls to His Majesty King Mswati III, Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini, Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku, Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg and other key stakeholders.The Executive Secretary is in the country to introduce himself and to also discuss key priority areas of the SACU agenda for effective and strategic implementation of the SACU Strategic Plan.He assumed office on 1 February 2023 and his appointment comes at a time when the Kingdom of Eswatini is chairing all the SACU institutions,”reads a Government online report.
