Princesss Lindiwe, the Minister of Home Affairs has changed tune after announcing that churches should observer 70% capacity during services, it’s now 70 people per church gathering.
“Following His Majesty King Mswati III’s address and His Excellency the Prime Minister’s direction to ease the partial lockdown on the economy regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with Church Leaders herein guides religious as follows: Church services are to strictly observer gatherings not exceeding 70 people, observing social distance. This is with effect from 17 May 2020. Health precautions should be fully followed which include among others washing of hands with soap” read the Ministerial guidelines.
