Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku announces R8million for Cyclone victims.

MBABANE: Senator Themba Masuku, the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) has on behalf of Government,announced R8million to be used  in assisting victims of the recent heavy rains, Government online platforms has reported.

The DPM said the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly.

“NDMA will continue to monitor the generation of the cyclone and situational updates and advisories will be consistently issued on all media platforms daily. I would also like to take this opportunity to advise emaSwati to exercise extreme caution during this period and follow all warnings issued by the country’s authorities.The Nation is reminded to always make sure that building structures or homes close to river basins should be avoided at all times. Building homes below dam structures that may break should be avoided as well. Building safe and/ or resilient structures is the way to go,” said the DPM as quoted by Government online platforms.
