Ngcoseni cattle thief flees,leaves slaughtered cow inside car,incriminating evidence.

MBABANE: A cattle theft suspect allegedly slaughtered a cow and subsequently fled the scene leaving behind incriminating evidence after invading homes at Ngcoseni.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, Zakhele Ginindza said the suspect arrived at Mancubeni, Ngcoseni in the early morning hours on Tuesday and grabbed cows,one was slaughtered and loaded in a car registered RSD 277 AS that was later abandoned after the residents started chasing it.

When this journalist traced the car in the eSwatini Government car registration system,it reflected that it was owned by Sanele Josephine Gamedze.

Eswatini Building Society cash transaction receipts belonging to Khanyisile Prudence Gamedze were found inside the car.

“I discovered that the cattle had been stolen when I went out to respond to the call of nature at around 3am”,said Zakhele Ginindza, a resident of the area.

A questionnaire was sent to Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati, however,she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa has about 70% of the population living below the poverty line.

It has been disclosed that cattle theft is now rife at Ngcoseni and other areas across the country,police are struggling with resources to fight crime as more officers are monitoring political activists leaving citizens vulnerable particularly,in the rural areas.
