LOBAMBA:Nomalungelo Simelane(LaZwide),the Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP)came hard on Tinkhundla Minister David ‘Cruizer’ Ngcamphalala for failing to play a role in resolving the ongoing political crisis despite heading a Ministry that deals directly with the people.
Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday,the MP said in this country,when Tinkhundla buildings were destroyed and people died during political chaos,the first thing that comes to the ‘mind’ of this Government,is to rebuild the destroyed structures while disregarding the loss of lives.
“You are a Minister in a portfolio that deals directly with the people and you know exactly what is happening in the rural areas,people are not happy.As a Minister whose Ministry is responsible for the welfare of the people you should have rushed to tell Government to resolve the political crisis to enhance development in the rural areas,”he said.
The Siphofaneni MP further demanded answers regarding the Regional Development Fund(RDF),she wanted to know why it was difficult for the money approved by Parliament to reach and develop people in the various communities across the country.
“You want us to approve this RDF budget,what assurance do we have that this money will reach the people.Previously,monies were approved under the Regional Development Fund(RDF)but never reached the people,”said the Siphofaneni MP.
