Lesotho’ first COVID-19 case confirmed

MBABANE: Africa last COVID-19free country, Lesotho has confirmed it\'s first case of coronavirus.

This is according to a statement released by that country\'s Ministry of health on Wednesday.\" The Ministry of Health informs the Basotho nation and the entire community living in Lesotho, that the country now has the first confirmed case of COVID 19. 81 samples were shipped to NICD in the Republic of South Africa on the 11 th May and results were obtained on the 12 the May 2020.Eighty people tested negative for COVID 19 while one tested positive for COVID 19\",reads the statement in part.. 

The Ministry  is said to have conducted  these tests on travellers from South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
