Continue protesting peacefully,University of eSwatini(UNESWA)Vice Chancellor Professor Justice Tfwala tells Lecturers.

KWALUSENI:Professor Justice Tfwala,the Vice Chancellor of the University of eSwatini(UNESWA) has applauded Lecturers for protesting peacefully without damaging any property belonging to the institution of higher learning.

UNESWA Lecturers are engaged in a strike action in demand for a salary increment,the University was subsequently closed temporarily,amid tension.

Professor Tfwala addressed the protesting Lecturers after being stopped while driving within the premises of the University on Wednesday,the Lecturers demanded an update regarding their demands.

“You are within your rights to do what you are doing but please,protect the property of the University,I know you love this institution.Negotiations are continuing smoothly, we will then report to the Council and if the issue is above our jurisdiction,we will report to Government.But please continue to protest peacefully as you are doing without damaging any property.We are trying,things will be fine and a solution will definitely come out,”said the Vice Chancellor when addressing the protesting Lecturers.
