Deputy Prime Minister(DPM)urges Persons with Disabilities to stand for Tinkhundla elections and be voted into Parliament.

MBABANE:Senator Themba Masuku, the Deputy Prime Minister has advised Persons with Disabilities to stand for the upcoming Tinkhundla elections and be voted into Parliament.

Speaking during the Disability Day held at Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla on Friday,the DPM further encouraged the Nation to vote Persons with Disabilities into Parliament so that they can play a role in building the country.

According to a Government online report, the DPM said more Persons with Disabilities will benefit in the Disability Grants programme this coming financial year, dependant on the approval of an increased budget request by Parliament.

The Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla Disability Day sought to celebrate and acknowledge Persons with Disabilities and to amplify their voices for inclusion in mainstream economic activities.The Inkhundla also registered Persons with Disabilities to be submitted to the DPM's Office so that they benefit from the Disability Grant,” reads the Government online report.
