After being liberated from Egypt,the Israelites once delivered a petition to Samuel urging him to pass a message to God that they wanted to be ruled by a King not Judges.
But God warned them that the King would oppress and treat them like slaves,grab their land and heavily tax them for his own benefit and that of his servants.
Samuel 8 verse 14-18 reads;
“He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants.He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants.He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men[a] and your donkeys, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. And in that day you will cry out because of your King whom you have chosen for yourselves,but the Lord will not answer you in that day”.
It is therefore important to highlight that by nature,Kings with absolute powers are a curse to the Nation because they then become power drunk.
During his youth days,Mswati once attempted to sleep with every woman in the country, he was exploring power and would send his emissaries in Qethuka Dlamini and Tulujane Sikhondze to physically grab women so that he could satisfy his sexual appetite.
Recently,he sent his bodyguards at night to grab a man’s wife in the presence of her husband,he then built her a mansion at Tubungu.
The powerless man watched helplessly as his wife leaves with Mswati’s bodyguards at night,the message was “Ufunwa yi-Ngwenyama”.
Subsequently,Mswati colluded with Neal Rijikernberg to establish Silulu Royal Holdings(PTY) LTD and this company is used to grab land from poor Swazis so that him and Neal could plant trees and make cash in billions.
As if this is not enough,Mswati is not paying tax but survives by heavily taxing struggling Swazi companies in the Small and Medium Enterprises(SME),at times,the revenue authority would come with a figure from the ‘air’ just to grab everything from Swazi businesspeople.
When reading the scripture,I came to the conclusion that indeed God is the God of yesterday,today and tomorrow because he was able to see how the King requested by the Israelites would behave even before Coronation.
Mswati is doing exactly what God warned the people of Israel about,those who always mislead the Nation that the King was appointed by God must mislead only those who are religiously ignorant.
God approved the request by the people of Israel to have a King after they petitioned him through Samuel with their demands.
But because God is progressive and respects the will of the people, he firstly warned them about what the King would do but eventually approved their request.
Mswati was appointed by Prince Mfanasibili,the then Liqoqo strongman not God.
After his appointment,he then became power drunk,kicked out all senior royal family members who tried to advise him to behave like a Head of State.
The King started arresting and killing political activists including civilians merely for demanding democracy but,the truth is; he is the last absolute Monarch to rule this country.
