DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER THEMBA MASUKU:Wednesday April 12 a normal working day, police to provide security.

MBABANE:Senator Themba Masuku,the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM)says Wednesday, the 12th April 2023 will be a normal working day and workers are expected to report for duty.

Addressing the media at the Cabinet offices on Tuesday ahead of a boarder blockade organized by the Congress of South African Trade Unions(COSATU) in collaboration with eSwatini political parties,the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM)said holidays are announced and Gazetted by Government.

“Government wishes to remind the Nation that tomorrow is a normal working day and that holidays are announced by the Government as gazetted.Therefore, Government expects emaSwati to be at work tomorrow and those who wish to travel for critical services such as healthcare and education or any other reasons are free to do so.As usual, the police will be vigilant on the ground and monitoring the situation while providing the necessary protection to the Nation as per their national security mandate. We do urge the nation to cooperate with the police as they perform their duties,” said the DPM.
