It seems like Deputy Prime Minister(DPM)Senator Themba Masuku is politically ambitious to become the next Prime Minister.
Perhaps, it is worth mentioning that every-time Prime Minister(PM)Cleopas Dlamini leaves the country, DPM Themba Masuku would quickly call a press conference and address the Nation even on the most useless issues just to appear on TV, newspapers and other electronic media platforms.
The intention is to demonstrate power that he is ‘now’ in charge of government business and/or affairs.
Mswati must consider appointing Masuku as the Prime Minister, apart from being an non-Dlamini, he has all the qualities of serving as the PM within the Tinkhundla system of Governance.
Masuku has looted public funds for personal gain, killed innocent civilians merely for demanding democracy and is a highly skilled political liar.
These are some of the ‘qualifications’ required for one to become the Prime Minister under the cruel, oppressive and undemocratic Tinkhundla system of governance.
What more does Mswati wants because Masuku, has on numerous occasions, proved his ‘capability’.
The Constitution does not restricts the King from appointing a non-Dlamini as a Prime Minister and even if it does, the King is above that ‘useless’ Supreme law and he can still use the inherited and existing 1973 Decree that elevated him as an absolute Monarch and appoint Masuku as the Prime Minister.
The hands of Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini are not as dirty as that of DPM Themba Masuku.
Even if investigators of the International Criminal Court(ICC) can visit eSwatini today, I’m sure they can find that Cleopas never addressed a single press conference that resulted to the death of innocent civilians.
But the DPM, knowing that he is not a Dlamini yet he is ambitious to become the next Prime Minister, is prepared to do anything to please Mswati.
Unfortunately,it’s difficult to please the King, even those who work closely with him always complain that the man is not easily predictable.
But who knows, Mswati can make history and appoint Masuku as the PM.
It’s a matter of putting more effort on Masuku’s part to please the King because every political decision in this country is centred around Mswati’s feelings.
