KING MSWATI:Africa must unite to achieve greater economic growth.

HARARE: King Mswati of eSwatini has urged the African continent to unite in order to achieve sustainable greater economic growth.

Speaking during the Transform Africa Summit held at the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe on Wednesday where he was a first-time guest,the King said the continent could start by embracing technology as a tool to enhance productivity.

“Firstly, citizens of the continent could start by embracing technology in their daily lives. This will not only enhance our productivity but also open up new opportunities for innovation, creativity and growth.The rate of technological advancement is staggering, and the world is more interconnected than ever before, therefore, Africa should not be left behind. As we move forward, we must embrace innovation,connection and digital transformation if we hope to create a better future for ourselves and generations to come in our beloved continent,” said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.

The King said the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA) was another pillar that could help in uniting the continent in terms of trading.
