HOSEA:Sanele Simelane,the Hosea Bucopho BeNkhundla has confirmed that Lushini uMphakatsi was burnt on Friday night ahead of the Elections Commission’s civic voter education on Saturday.
It has been disclosed that food that was meant to feed people during the civic voter education event was also burnt as tension looms ahead of the Tinkhundla elections.
“It’s true that the Lushini uMphakatsi was burnt last night(Friday), we were expecting officials from the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) this morning,” said the Hosea Bucopho BeNkhundla.
A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati,however,she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
It has been disclosed that on Friday night police were patrolling all the Royal Kraals(iMiphakatsi) at Hosea ahead of the EBC’s civic voter education.
It remains a mystery how the alleged arsonists managed to burn the Lushini uMphakatsi situated about two(2) kilometers away from the Hosea Inkhundla building.
