MADLANGEMPHISI: Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini handed over twenty-five thousand Rands(R25,000.00) for Madlangemphisi soccer tournament on Sunday, he urged the residents to continue distancing themselves from calls for regime-change.
Addressing the residents of Madlangemphisi at Executive Sports Ground near Tembisa General Dealer, the PM urged the residents to continue distancing themselves from issues causing political unrest.
"I'm here at Madlangemphisi not as the Prime Minister but as a resident of the area. I’m proud of this community for always being on the right lane, continue being peaceful and respectful.Don't associate yourselves with violent people claiming to fight for democracy,”said the PM.
Samnkelo Gule who was part of the organising team confirmed the visit of the Prime Minister and his adress.
"He handed over the R25,000.00 and thanked the community for not participating in the unrest that led to the killing of civilians.He even urged the community to watch over his home from arson attacks,” he said.
The PM parental home is near the executive Sports Ground in Madlangemphisi and is always under police surveillance.
