MBABANE:Mkhosi Shiba,a United Kingdom(UK)based Swazi political activist was seen this week smiling while taking pictures with King Mswati.

It has been disclosed that Shiba, a supporter of the King has been residing at Briston in the UK illegal for years,while struggling to secure a residential permit.He then started to attended protests against the King and claimed he was being persecuted in eSwatini just to secure residential papers in the United Kingdom(UK).

Reached for comments,Collen Matsebula, a UK based Swazi political activist confirmed that Shiba was protesting with them under the Swazi Vigil.

“It’s true, he was with us seeking assistance to obtain residential papers here in the UK.He used to attend protests against Mswati but stopped immediately after being granted the residential papers.This week, he was among those who went to see and take pictures with Mswati,”said the political activist.

It has been disclosed that Shiba was among those who organized some entertainment places to be visited by Mswati.

The King is in the UK as per an invitation to attend the coronation of King Charles last week Saturday.

Reached for comments,Shiba asked this journalist to call him later so he can respond.

“Please call me at 1200 UK time,”said the King’s supporter.

But the King’s supporter subsequently avoided calls from this publication when called for a comment thereafter.

 King Mswati, an absolute Monarch is in the United Kingdom(UK) where he is spending public funds, he was invited to attend the recent Coronation for King Charles III.
