MBABANE:Senator Thulie Dlamini, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the Republic of South Africa has denied entry to eMaswati working in that country including students.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, the Minister said only final year students studying medicine will be allowed entry for now in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

"These students who are studying medicine will be subjected to a 14 day quarantine before they continue with their studies. We all know that the number of cases is rising in South Africa, so I believe they decided to allow this small group back to be able to manage the situation”said the Minister.

But the Minister clarified that it was not only eMaswati but all countries in the SADC region were facing the same problem as South Africa denied their citizens entry.

“It’s not only eMaswati but students from all over the SADC region,I have consulted with our Lesotho, Botswana and Namibian counterparts, they are all faced with a similar problem" she said.
