LOGOBA:Sibusiso Mabhanisi Dlamini, the Kwaluseni Member of Parliament(MP) has finally influenced the rehabilitation of the Logoba road a few weeks before the dissolution of Parliament.
After the Swaziland News published a series of articles regarding the plight of the residents, the MP earlier told this publication that he was not responsible for roads but passing laws.
But editor Zweli Martin Dlamini blasted the MP in one of his articles reminding him that he was obligated to use his powers as an MP,and influence the provision of services to the people of his Constituency.
It has been disclosed that the project was founded by Mshuza Hlophe, an influential resident of Logoba.
Hlophe allegedly lobbied residents to contribute two hundred Rands each(R200) and the contributions amounted to about fifty thousands Rands(R50,000.00),Micro-Project then came-in with a financial back-up.
The MP Mabhanisi Dlamini subsequently called a community meeting a few weeks ago and announce that rehabilitation of roads within the Kwaluseni Constituency will commence soon.
Efforts to reach MP Mabhanisi Dlamini proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On Saturday, this publication visited Logoba and a TLB was found hard at work, the tender was awarded to KWALI Construction.
Speaking to this Swaziland News,Logoba resident Vivian Mthimkhulu stated that the road will benefit everyone, especially commuters.
“We are very excited about the Project because,as you know, it has been very difficult to reach our destinations during rainy days,”he said.
Residents at Logoba happy to see rehabilitation of their road.
