MBABANE: The People's United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Msunduza branch has donated a brand new wheelchair to a disabled resident of the area Mthokozisi Khumalo.
It has been disclosed that Khumalo was stabbed and assaulted in the spinal cord area in 2013 on his way from work after being robbed.
Due to the gravity of the injuries in the spinal cord and the country’s poor health system, Khumalo was forced into disability.
The wheelchair was handed over by PUDEMO Msunduza branch Chairperson Majahonkhe Rasta Dlamini and other members of the branch.
Speaking to this Swaziland News after handing over the wheelchair the PUDEMO Msunduza branch Chairperson said as PUDEMO they will continue to offer practical support to the less privileged in society.
"It is part of our programme of action to offer practical support to the less privileged in society. This is just a beginning. We have identified a lot of poor and oppressed people not only in Msunduza but across the country. We are not doing this such for our own glory. But for the betterment of the society we live in," said the PUDEMO Msunduza branch Chairperson.
