MBABANE: Velaphi Mamba, a Seasoned Human Rights Activist and Senior Development Expert has graduated with a Masters Degree at the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government,Harvard University.
Mamba, a former Team Leader at the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA),obtained a Master in Public Administration (MPA) at the world's best University and Ivy league school. The Human Rights Activist also possesses a Masters in Development Studies from the University of the Free State in South Africa.
Mamba,is also the current Treasurer General of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) and has extensive experience working on politics, democracy building, economic justice and education in Swaziland, the Southern Africa region and the African continent more widely. He is also a founding member of the Multi-stakeholders Forum (MSF) and a number of human rights professional networks across the globe.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, Mamba confirmed that he graduated on Thursday with flying colours from the world's number one university. He said that he hopes his academic achievements will serve as a point of inspiration for many emaSwati, especially the youth as they pursue their education.
