PRETORIA:Thabo Kunene,the Commander of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) has been detained inside the compound of a top South African businessman.
According to the businessman,Kunene,a former police officer invaded his premises on Wednesday afternoon and tried to grab an AK47.
The businessman who owns a variety of guns is running a security and cash transit company.
“He came here with my brother who was recruited into his team of Solidarity Forces,my brother gave him the information that there are guns here.Unfortunately, security is very tight here, he failed to grab the AK47,”said the South African businessman.
In the video seen by this Swaziland News, the Commander of the Solidarity Forces was forced to confess how many people he killed in eSwatini,he said his team killed fourteen(14) people including four(4) police officers.
On another note,the businessman said he was communicating with those close to King Mswati, with an intention of secretly transporting Kunene to eSwatini through informal crossing.He first pretended to be seeking an opinion from this journalist what he must do with Kunene and his companion.
“What’s your view, what must I do with them, I know you, you are a famous journalist in eSwatini.But if you say these people are fighting for democracy, what do you think I must do, release them?”, he asked.
But before that, the businessman first questioned this journalist to reveal who gave him the information as he only communicated with people very close and trusted by the King.
“Who gave you this information because a few minutes ago I was speaking to people trusted and very close to the King and so quickly, you are aware. Who gave you this information?,” asked the South African businessman.
It later transpired that while seeking an opinion from this journalist on whether he must release Kunene or not, he was also communicating with those close to the King.
The businessman then asked this journalist to hold the story for at least five(5) minutes and he will come back with a proper response on what he was planning to do with the Commander of the Solidarity Forces.
But, this journalist later gathered through his high profile network of information in eSwatini that the businessman was actually delaying publication of the story,while plotting to illegally transport Kunene and hand him over to King Mswati on Wednesday night.
This journalist later sent a Whatsap message informing the businessman that he was publishing the story and the businessman asked that a draft must be at least sent to him first before publication,unfortunately his request was rejected.
