MADONSA: Dumsani DU Fakudze, the late founding Chairperson of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) was allegedly active in community development at Madonsa, uniting residents for electricity, water schemes and other social development projects.
These sentiments were shared by residents shortly after the funeral of the late political activist, Fakudze was buried on Saturday.
“DU was active in community development and popular here at Madonsa, but he respected the policy of his political organization and refused to participate in Tinkhundla undemocratic elections.Otherwise, he could have been an MP, people loved him,” said one of the residents.
On another note, members of the CPS who officiated the funeral blocked uMphakatsi representatives from speaking during the funeral, they described the traditional institution as an extension of King Mswati’s oppression.

The late CPS Chairperson Dumsani Fakudze was laid to rest on Saturday.
