MBABANE: Mbonisi Bhembe, the Spokesperson of the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) has confirmed that registration deadline for the Tinkhundla elections has been extended to Sunday.
When this Swaziland News visited areas that include Logoba and other surrounding areas, thousands were queeing to register on Wednesday being the deadline.
But the Elections Commission later announced that the deadline has been extended to Sunday.
“Commission extended Voter Registration to Sunday 18 June 2023,” reads a message sent to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Wednesday evening, by the Spokesperson of the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC).
According registration numbers sent to this publication by the EBC, a total of five hundred and twenty-six thousand and seventy-five(526,075) have registered.
