MBABANE: Mancoba Dludlu, the former Treasurer General of the Swaziland National Union of Students(SNUS) started school at twelve(12) years but now, he holds a Diploma in Engineering.
Dludlu is one of the victims of the high level of poverty in eSwatini where about 70% of the population lives below the poverty line.
Speaking to this Swaziland News during an interview, Dludlu said he began his primary education at Mbekwelweni Primary School where he did Grade one(1) to grade four(4) but in 2010, he dropped out due to financial challenges.
After four(4) years of hustling trying to organize school fees, he eventually went to Ka-Sebenta National Institute where he achieved a merit at Grade seven(7), he skipped Grade five(5) and six(6).
Eventually, Dludlu completed high school education at Swazi National High School and subsequently, he enrolled in 2018 at Eswatini College Of Technology (ECOT) under the Faculty of Civil and Building, he was later awarded a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Speaking to this Swaziland News today, Dludlu said through hard-work, success is guaranteed.
“Perhaps, let me advise young people that through hard-work, success is guaranteed,” he said.
