HLATIKHULU: Children here at Tholulwazi Primary School are sitting on cooking oil containers while learning on ‘empty stomachs’, as Mswati’s Government struggles to provide furniture, food and other working equipment in various schools across the country.

Eswatini is a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa with about 70% of the population living below the poverty line, the country is ruled by extravagant multi-billionaire Mswati, as an absolute Monarch.

A questionnaire was sent to Lady-Howard Mabuza, the eSwatini Minister of Education and Training, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

But Lot Vilakati, the Secretary General(SG) of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) told this Swaziland News this week that, government was struggling to create a conducive environment for teachers and learners by providing working equipment.

“If the learning environment is not supported, the teachers and students both become less productive and this, result to the production of a large number of failures,” said the SNAT Secretary General.
