MBABANE: Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini says he will present a cow to be feasted by residents who will construct the new LaMgabhi eTiyeni uMphakatsi under Chief Mvemve Hlophe.
The editor says he recently communicated with the new Indvuna and informed him that he will present the cow because so far, he was happy with the leadership demonstrated by the new Inner Council.
The editor was at loggerheads with the recently dismissed Inner Council(Bandlancane) led by the late Indvuna Alfred Maseko who were illegally selling land belonging to orphans and widows.
The editor said he will support the new Chief and the Inner Council(Bandlancane)if they continue to demonstrate good leadership.
“I was happy when the Chief was appointed and that he immediately dismissed the Inner Council that was illegally selling land belonging to the powerless. Lendlela lengijabule ngayo kube bengikhona bengitakuya matfupha ngiyofaka emahlahla ngakhe uMphakatsi, kodvwa ngoba angikho ngitonikela ngenkhomo idliwe ngulabo labatabe bakhona,” said the editor who is a resident of LaMgabhi eTiyeni.
It is alleged that the new Chief and the Inner Council immediately stopped the Kukhonta, pending the construction of the new Umphakatsi.
The editor urged residents to report all illegal sale of land belonging to the powerless including orphans and widows.
