LOZITHA: Dr John Nkengasong, the Ambassador of the United States(US) President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief(PEPFAR) has presented two(2) awards to King Mswati in appreciation of the Kingdom of eSwatini’s progress in fighting HIV/AIDS.
In an online report published by the US Embassy eSwatini on Monday, the Ambassador said he was grateful to meet the King, he expressed continued commitment to partner with eSwatini in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
“I am grateful for the meeting with His Majesty King Mswati III and his commitment to continuing the partnership with The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to end HIV/AIDS as a public health threat in Eswatini, including addressing HIV/AIDS among adolescent girls and young women and gender-based violence. I was also pleased to present His Majesty King Mswati III with two PEPFAR awards in honor of the Eswatini's progress and impact,” said the PEPFAR Ambassador.
