MBABANE: Bongnkosi ‘IB’ Dlamini, the Convenor of the United Eswatini Diaspora(UED) says as pro-democracy groups, they are ready for the highly anticipated protest against the kidnapping of Thabo Kunene, the alleged Commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).
The political groups who are expected to deliver a petition to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation(DIRCO) and the South African Police Service(SAPS) Headquarters, they are calling for an investigation into the kidnapping of the alleged Underground Forces Commander.
“We are finalizing the logistics, tomorrow(Tuesday), we are meeting the South African Police who will be on duty during the protest. We are grateful to the Swazis who are organizing transport for others on the eSwatini side to attend the protest. Currently, we have organized one bus and a kombi but, there are possibilities of having another bus if the number increases,” said the United Eswatini Diaspora(UED) Convener.
Dlamini said another bus will transport other political activists from Nelspruit, Witbank and other parts of South Africa. He urged those who want to attend to follow the logistics in the independent media on how the transport has been arranged.
Thabo Kunene, the alleged Commander of the Underground Forces was allegedly kidnapped by Mswati’s State agents and subsequently trafficked to eSwatini through informal crossing, he is facing politically motivated terrorism charges.
