MBABANE: A man who reside at Woodlands in the capital city-Mbabane, says police who were patrolling saved his life last week by pleading with King Mswati’s alleged mercenaries to stop assaulting him.

King Mswati’s mercenaries has been terrorizing innocent citizens in tiny Kingdom of eSwatini for sometime now, another citizen claims last week, they found him next to Cashbuild in the Mbabane Industrial Site, assaulted him without questioning it uttering any word after pointing a gun at him.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening, Mswati’s Chief Mercenary Arno Pienaar said he had no comment immediately after this journalist introduced himself.

“I have no comment, bye bye”, said the alleged mercenary.

It is alleged that Mswati’s alleged Chief Mercenary and some of his agents  normally drives at night and terrorize civilians across the country, the mercenaries allegedly wear balaclavas when violating the human rights on behalf of the State.

Arno Pienaar and his Boston Security company were allegedly awarded a tender by Mswati to terrorize innocent civilians amid calls for democracy in this tiny Kingdom.

The man said the mercenaries would arrive and camp at Woodlands Shopping Complex around 10pm and then drive around terrorizing civilians.

“I am Swazi but most of the time I am in South Africa hence I drive a GP registered car. As we speak, I am going through a divorce and that process is frustrating and stressful hence I sometimes drive to buy alcohol. They stopped me, pointed a gun at me and searched my car, thereafter, they started assaulting me. Kwafika lamanye emaphoyisa atsi ayangati I am not a Solidarity Force abangiyekele, the police then took me to hospital,” said the man who was too traumatized to reveal his identity.

A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Reached for comments, human rights lawyer Sibusiso Nhlabatsi said eSwatini was in a unannounced State of emergency, he described that as a gross violation of human rights.

“People have unlimited freedom of movement unless there’s a State of Emergency like during the time of COVID-19.I think what is happening now, where people will be assaulted merely for traveling at night must be challenged in court, otherwise, it will continue happening,” said the human rights lawyer.
