MANZINI: Thobile Madolo-Dlamini, the Executive Director of the Eswatini Business Health and Wellness(SWABCHA) has confirmed that if nominated, she will stand for elections and represent the people of Manzini North.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening,the SWABCHA Director then encouraged other women to compete and hold powerful positions in decision making structures.
If nominated I will stand for elections in Manzini North,” said the SWABCHA Executive Director.
On another note, Nonhlanhla Dlamini, the Executive Director of the Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) encouraged the public to vote for women during the upcoming elections.
The former vibrant Ludzeludze MP said women who have demonstrated leadership in various sectors of the society, must not be ignored for powerful political positions.
“It’s time for elections and as an organization, we have a campaign to encourage voters to vote for women. We have women in various sectors of our society who have demonstrated leadership and as such, we urge the public to vote for them if they demonstrate interest to participating in the elections. This request is not only about women but, we urge even men to vote for women because women have demonstrated leadership.It’s not about voting women only to Parliament but all leadership structures even within iMiphakatsi,” said the SWAGAA Director.
