MSWATI’S EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS:African National Congress(ANC) resolves to work with the SACP in dealing with political dictatorship in eSwatini.

MBABANE: The African National Congress(ANC)has resolved to work with the South African Communist  Party(SACP) to deal with issues of violence and repression in the Kingdom of eSwatini.

This is contained in a public statement released on Wednesday, subsequent to a meeting held between the ruling party’s National Working Commitee(NWC) and the SACP on Monday.

“The ANC and the SACP discussed several critical issues of mutual concern and agreed on further bilateral engagements on several topics as we advance, including the economy and energy issues.There was also consensus towards dealing with issues of violence and repression throughout the African continent, such as the situation in Eswatini. The ANC and SACP also discussed the reconfiguration of the alliance, and this will ensure that the relationship between all alliance partners is redefined,” reads the statement in part.

A questionnaire was sent to Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini is facing international pressure amid human rights violations and calls for democratic reforms.

 Mswati, an absolute Monarch recently hired alleged mercenaries to patrol the cities and towns across the country, shoot and kill innocent civilians merely for traveling at night.

Prominent human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko, the Chairperson of the pro-democracy Multi-Stakeholder Forum(MSF) was assassinated allegedly, by Mswati’s mercenaries in January 2023, the international community is demanding a transparent investigation into the killings.
