MBABANE: The ongoing regional consultations with regards to the United Nations(UN) Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), will enable stakeholders to contribute ideas on the Rescue Plan, Dr Thambo Gina, the Minister of Economic Planning and Development told journalists during a press briefing last week.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the UN in 2015 to address, among others, issues of poverty, climate change and to ensure that all people in the world, enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
“This review will inform the UN 2023 SDG Summit scheduled to take place in September 2023 in which Eswatini will be represented by the Head of State. The consultations will provide a platform for stakeholders to make their inputs in the development of the SDG Rescue Plan,” said the Economic Planning Minister.
