MINISTER OF COMMERCE MANCOBA KHUMALO: Eswatini Shoprite stores have invested more than R1billion in the country, employed over 1300 emaSwati.

MATSAPHA: Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry says eSwatini Shoprite stores have invested more than R1billion in the country.

Speaking during the official opening of Shoprite store at the newly constructed Matsapha, Lifestyle Centre, the Minister said ShopRite stores have employed more one thousand three-hundred(1300) emaSwati.

"I’m proud to announce that eSwatini Shoprite stores have invested more than R1billion in the country, opened twenty four (24) stores and  have created plenty of jobs opportunities as well," said the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry. 

High profile people who attended the event include former Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament (MP) Marwick Khumalo, Manzini Regional Administrator(RA) Chief Gija, Matsapha Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Lucky Sukati and former Senate Sylvia Mthethwa, the Director of ShopRite Stores eSwatini.
