MBABANE: Bheki Gama, the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Education and Training has suffered stroke.
As a result, the Principal Secretary(PS) has been away from work for sometime now.
According to insiders in corridors of power, Gama recently reported for duty after a brief recovery, on the advice of doctors but, he subsequently went back home.
“Doctors had advised that he must not sit at home for a long time, so he recently reported to work. Kodvwa ubese ubuyela ekhaya ngoba ngatsi samshaya kakhudlwana le-stroke”, said one of the insiders.
A questionnaire was sent to the Education PS, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, Lady-Howard Mabuza, the Minister of Education and Training said, she can’t comment and referred comments to Gama’s wife.
“Kindly contact the wife to the PS”, said the Education Minister when speaking to this publication on Tuesday evening.
Unfortunately, efforts to reach the wife to the Principal Secretary proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
This report regarding the Education PS comes after this publication reported that Maxwell Masuku, the former PS in the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) suffered a stroke a well.
