MATSAPHA: David Omozuafoh, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) eSwatini Deputy Resident Representative says, the ongoing Eswatini Youth Empowerment Programme (EYEP) facilitated by UNDP has been established to reduce youth unemployment in eSwatini.
Speaking during the certification ceremony of the second cohort of fifty(50)graduates at Matsapha, Omozuafoh said, the aim of the Youth Empowerment Programme was to help young people to reach their full potential and contribute in the economic transformation of the country.
The event was held at the Eswatini Institute of Management and Public Administration (SIMPA) on Thursday morning.
“The initiative aims to reduce youth unemployment,it also aims to help young people to reach their full potential and contribute economic transformation in the country. Eswatini has 58% of young people under the age of twenty four(24), for us that's huge asset for the country,"said the UNDP eSwatini Deputy Resident.
